Share Your DREAM Friday!
It is with great pleasure that I bring to you today’s Special Guest Dreamer The GREAT Joan Marie!

I had the blessing and opportunity to connect with Joan Marie through my good friend Curtis Bizelli back in May 2011.

Thank you Curtis for the connecting me with this amazing woman who has a HUGE passion, and heart for her dreams and how it can be a blessing to so many people.

Joan is a born teacher who loves to teach. In fact, she taught herself how to be creative and open to creativity when those around her told her it was not possible.

Because of this experience, she spent a lot of her life putting herself down and would make things just enough while at the same time being a hyper workaholic.

Finally free from the bondage of the negative voices in her head, she is right on the edge moving towards another level of attainment in her life.

It’s the beginning of a whole new day for her and now is the time for a change.

Creativity and Dreams are part of her life and who she is.

Please join me in celebrating Joan as she shares her story and dream with us today.

The GREAT Joan Marie – Share Your DREAM Friday

Open to CREATIVITY,
Release the Insecurity!

Allow your passion to sing!! Listening to that little yapping, negative chatter in your head can water down every effort you so enthusiastically go for.
That was my experience until I replaced the icky, yapping with a bubbly Girl Scout song from the sitting-around-the-campfire days. Remember this song?

I love the mountains,

I love the rolling hills,
I love the flowers,

I love the daffodils.

I love the fireside

When all the lights are low.

Boom dee a da, boom dee a da

Boom dee a da, boom dee a da

When that nagging negativity came at me with every version of “Your not good enough”, singing this song got me skipping down the road with a lollipop in my hand, thinking Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah, I’m smiling again. As a college student, I was awestruck by Michelangelo’s Sistine Ceiling. Profoundly moved, I thought, “If art can be that powerful, I must be a part of it.” From that day forward, it has been my purpose to visually express this positive, explosive energy within me through artwork. “That’s it, I’m an artist!” But, two college professors from Washington University filled my head with the belief that I lacked creativity and skill. It is my destiny to do my part to help those that want to break free from those soul-draining voices. My unquenchable passion to display the fullness of life through artwork fills my soul daily.

SOOOO … MY DREAMS!!!!…

…FOR MY ART TO ADD UPLIFTING ENERGY TO THE WORLD… being available through the perfect galleries, my website and on daily products such as sheets, clothing, mugs, etc.
…To TEACH CREATIVITY, which fills my SOUL. I feel I must pass on the inspiration that fills my heart. Being a part of other’s exhilaration as they discover their unique voice keeps me leaping out of bed in the mornings.
…I DREAM of offering CREATIVITY WORKSHOPS through a Creative Community Center, and through online videos and traveling workshops.
…I DREAM that my BOOK, Living Your Life on FIRE!, is published–adding enthusiasm and confidence to those who resonate with it, and relate to my story of overcoming self doubt and opening to creativity.
…I DREAM of maturing with PASSION and WISDOM. Now that I CELEBRATE turning 60, I dream about the celebration of turning 70, 80, 90, then 100, and more, with BUOYANT VITALITY, having the deepest satisfaction of all–knowing you are helping others to experience their own blessings and express all the richness of life as you feel it. After all, Louise Hay began Hay House publishing company in her early 60’s! HURRAY!

LOVE IS ALL THAT MATTERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
When this life comes to an end, all that we take with us is the LOVE in our HEARTS and souls!–not the job we did or the money we made or the talent we developed. All of those things make us happy and fill our lives with pleasure and excitement, but without LOVE as our priority, a hollow emptiness settles into our spirit. As an artist, I have spent thousands of hours alone in my studio. This is necessary, rewarding and fun for me, but the full circle of excitement is found in sharing the fun I have experienced in the studio. This is why the Creative Community Center will make my dreams come true! As an artist and teacher, my passion is to develop artistic expression by building one’s confidence through instruction and freedom. I get so excited just thinking about this.

Joining me will be George Dewey Hinds, my very own Renaissance man and sweetie pie, an amazingly talented writer, singer, artist, musician and cartoonist, who will share his passions of writing and cartooning classes, as well as entertaining participants in the coffee/tea room with his musical band. The possibilities for our “center” are endless. We will seek a spacious building to hold classes for art, writing, dancing and music. It will have a coffee/tea space with comfortable seating to share one’s creativity on the walls, floor space to twirl as the music “moves you,” and paper table clothes and wipe-off walls to write poetry and express oneself! The social, creative meet-and-greet potential is so much fun to imagine!

There will be an abstract painting room where you are free to squeeze, throw and brush-on paint with the freedom of a child as the music inspires you. If you choose to take abstract painting classes with me, any concerns and inhibitions you may have had will be lifted, while the energy of this magical space will allow your unique expression to flow.

You will experience and understand that the thrill of creativity is the process of creating. The end result is wonderful, but not as important as the thrill of the experience in the moment. Not surprisingly, the completed art project will lack spirit and soul if one has not been engaged in the moment of creation.

As an artist, I dream of having a HUGE STUDIO space to not only create my own huge, electric paintings, but to have space for four or five others to join me in private classes of “fun expression”

I am currently PAINTING YOUR SONG, turning it into a WILD and Expressive Abstract Painting! I am also painting your eyes along with abstract movement and color that captures your highest essence.

Thank you so much, Edward, for this amazing experience to travel in my mind…making these DREAMS FEEL SO REAL! It is this process of seeing, then truly feeling our dreams become a REALITY in our minds, and finally to take the ACTION STEPS to make it all happen! This is when our dreams come alive. It feels just like MAGIC when you truly live the joy of feeling your dreams.

Edward, you are making DREAMS come true by the sheer experience of asking people to share their dreams. I thank Curt Bizelli, CEO of Manifest Your Dreams Publicity, for introducing us. This has been a powerful process of creating clarity, excitement and vision, enthusiastically followed with action steps.

WORDS OF WISDOM!!!!…

KNOW what you WANT!
Get into the space of FEELING GOOD about doing and having what you love.
CHILL OUT and FEEL it!!!!
Stop trying to MAKE things happen–stop the chasing.
Instead, take steps to allow things to happen by being joyful and feeling good about your passion.
Things can happen in OTHER WAYS than the one way you feel it must.
LIGHTEN UP and ENJOY the moment!!

Welcome to this installment of…

Share Your DREAM Friday!
It is with great pleasure that I bring to you today’s Special Guest Dreamer The GREAT Rebecca Woodhead!

I had the pleasure and blessing to meet Rebecca back in the fall of 2010 through the Home And Small Business Network. There was a passion and confidence about her that came through when ever she spoke and would join our sometimes 2 hour conference calls that started at 9 pm EST (2 am local time for her) and never missed one.

Her passion for writing and connecting people is amazing. She paints a picture in your mind and the mind of everyone who reads what she shares. What an amazing gift.

We both share a past of the dot.com technology business days where we each grew so much in defining who we are today.

Here first self published book PALACES & CALLUSES is the first online book that I read from my iPhone 3GS and could not put it down once I got started. Looking forward to the sequel!

Please join me in celebrating Rebecca as she shares her story and dream with us today.

The GREAT Rebecca Woodhead – Share Your DREAM Friday

I want to start by thanking Edward for this opportunity to share my dream with all of you. I’m a major dream follower, so I was pretty clear on my dream before I started preparing for this post, but this exercise makes you think so hard about the texture and shape of your dream. I kept stopping myself and saying, ‘yes, but is that it really? Can you be more specific?’ It made me focus minutely on what my dream is in its entire three dimensional glory. My dream is … to be an Amazon bestselling author.

Now I’m going to unpack that a bit, because there’s a bunch of dreams within and around it. I put the short version in the video. This is the long version. The inside story. The secret key.

Why that dream? It’s not because I’m a huge fan of Amazon in particular, it’s because it’s a universal symbol. Everyone knows what that means. It’s visual evidence of something. ‘Amazon bestseller’ is a key. It’s the key to my treasure chest of dreams. Here’s how the key looks:

I had a dream –> I struggled –> I overcame –> I became an Amazon bestseller –> Others can, too.

The key helps me to unlock the dreams of others as well as my own. It’s a cool key! Let me share it with you. Maybe it will unlock something for you, too.

I Had a Dream

Before I went to school, I learnt to read and write. Mum was very patient about my constant demands for word cards and stories, but my big dream then was to go to school and learn more about books. I was such a nerd. Fortunately, there was a little boy-nerd there too. We used to set each other homework, and grade each other’s make-believe papers. Yes. A is for Apple. Correct. Have a star.

As I went through my childhood years, I had all the usual dreams … get into the Guinness Book of World Records, fly to the moon, become one of the cast of Fame, marry a prince, win Badminton Horse Trials … but the one thing that kept coming up was ‘become an author’.

One day, my grandmother asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I said the first thing that came into my head, ‘author’. She said, ‘well, then, you shall’. Gran was pretty impressive, so I took her word for it. I was also surprised at how right it had felt when I’d actually said it aloud.

I Struggled

It wasn’t Fame but it was the school play, and I had a leading role. I was about to take my 11+ exam to move into a very posh school with my closest friends the following year. Just as with going to school for the first time, I couldn’t wait to get to my new school, but things were going brilliantly at my own school, too. I’d just been voted class captain; my gang had more members than any of the other gangs in the class – and we had members’ badges and a newsletter. Yep. Still a nerd. I was also in the top eventing team for my county, so Badminton seemed a real possibility. I climbed into my brother’s car for the drive to school. I never made it to the play.

When I came out of the coma, I couldn’t speak. Back then – in the mid-80s – you were not offered counselling and rehabilitation when you left hospital after being in a coma. I wasn’t even given access to a speech therapist. Two weeks after I came out of the coma, I was sent home to fend for myself. Over the next few months, with the help of my family, I taught myself to speak again. Every word was laborious. I remember what it was like to learn to speak the first time around. It was a doddle compared to this. I had to construct each word, manually, in my brain.

1. I would come up with a concept.
2. I would picture it.
3. I would try to mime the concept to another person.
4. Eventually, they’d work it out and say the word.
5. I would need them to repeat it while I thought of the concept and the picture.
6. They would need to write it down.
7. They would need to read it out loud while I looked at the word, and thought of the concept and the picture.
8. I would then try to read it. That took the longest. Many mistakes and much stuttering.

I did that with my whole vocabulary. Meanwhile, I was banned from riding ponies, so the Badminton dream disappeared. I was banned from dancing, so the Fame dream disappeared. My friends were all off to a new school, but my IQ had plummeted so far that not only could I not join them, but the Headmaster of my school wanted to send me back to kindergarten. When I was finally allowed back to school full time, my gang no longer existed. The leader of the rival gang had taken my position as Class Captain. I’d put on weight. When people don’t know how to say ‘sorry your head broke’ to you as a child, they say ‘the worry you brought on your parents …’ in an accusatory tone, and give you chocolate, before leaving the room to talk – I presume – about the worry you brought on your parents.

Chocolate + ban on exercise = around 50 people bullying me for being ugly every day.

In a fog of guilt about bringing worry upon parents by selfishly demolishing a wall with my head, and my resulting ugliness causing people’s eyes to hurt, the idea of my future holding any kind of Prince Charming disappeared. The idea of making it into the Guinness Book of Records for being anything but the most miserable child in England seemed unlikely. Somewhere inside, though, I knew I needed a dream. I knew that I had to pick one of these impossible dreams and find a way to make it possible, one day – even if I had no idea how long it would take. I picked: ‘become an author’.

I Overcame

After refusing to be put back even a single year, I’d saddled myself with the task of teaching myself all the work I’d missed. As it turned out, this was the best training for becoming an author – and an entrepreneur – that I could have had.

My parents secretly wished I’d stop trying so hard, but they knew it was important to me to defy the prediction that I would never reach the same level as my peers, so they paid for me to have extra tuition at the weekends, over holidays, and in the evenings. This was a trend I continued when the insurance money for my accident was paid out. By this time, I was a teenager. I could have bought a new car, but I didn’t. Instead, I hired Oxford University Dons (professors) to teach me English, Politics, and Law. My compensation was a pittance, compared with what a person would get for that kind of injury now, but it was enough to get some brain food. I invested thousands of pounds into private tuition. I sat in the various university colleges, where great authors had studied, and soaked up all the education I could fit into my brain. More than that, I soaked up inspiration. I knew I could get into university, even if I had to talk my way in.

In time, that’s just what I did. The professor who had the faith in me to let me into Southampton University is the one whose seminar inspired my first novel. I graduated with honours (2:1), experience on the University newspaper, and an interview with Stephen Fry under my belt.

This is where things took a bit of a different turn. After a summer in America, working in a restaurant and planning various different writing gigs, and a spell as a Freelance Journalist and Casting Agent in London (neither of which paid enough to justify my Chelsea lifestyle) I had an idea for a business. It would use this new ‘web’ thingy.

To cut a long story short, that business became a Limited Company and I ended up on a Board of Directors dealing with everything from hiring and firing to Venture Capitalists. At the time, I was one of the youngest members of the Institute of Directors – and almost definitely the only female of that age. The furniture there was built for silverbacks. I felt like Tinkerbelle in a suit. I never saw another woman in that building. I know it has changed now, but at the time it took a certain amount of nerve to ignore the disapproving stares and brave it out.

All the time, though, I knew I wanted to be an author. Late at night, I’d mug the flipchart boards of their paper, lay it out on the floor, and scribble plots and character sketches in bright marker-pen colours.

I missed writing, so I found ways to make parts of my job about writing. I told the Directors about ‘stickiness’ and said that I thought that writing interesting things on a regular basis might bring stickiness to a site. Sounds obvious now, but these were the days of dial-up and static pages. I started a blog. I interviewed celebrities, and wrote reviews. I set up a newsletter list and a membership site. Back then, I didn’t touch the HTML, you had a tech department for that kind of thing, but I came up with all the ideas and wrote all the copy. The consequence was that we had click through rates massively higher than the competition, and I kept my word nerd foot in the door.

All my time was taken up with work. The Dot Com Boom came and went, so I’d decided to change the focus of the business, and put resources into something my dad and brother were working on. All was going well then, suddenly, my brother died. Another car accident. Everything fell apart. Most of all … I fell apart. I became too ill to work. My brother was also a huge part of the business so, bit by bit, the business fell apart and when the recession hit, it went under. My husband was working for the business at that point, so he was made redundant.

You might wonder where ‘I overcame’ comes into this. I’ll tell you. As I wasn’t well enough to go out to work, I stayed at home. Within a week I was bored enough to start thinking about writing a book. Within a year, I had written one. Palaces & Calluses. Since 2008, when my husband lost his job, and I started my own blog charting the journey to my own dream of publication, I have written the sequel. I’ve also accomplished another dream and become a columnist for my favourite national magazine, Writing Magazine. Groupon has taken me on as a professional blogger, blogging about writing and my book is now on Amazon.

I Became an Amazon Bestseller

Okay … I haven’t done this bit yet. Every now and then, part of a plan is beyond your control. You have to hope that enough people are inspired by the steps you’ve taken to add their own energy to the journey, and lift you up to the next level. That’s what Edward is doing here, and I’m so grateful for it.

It might seem a huge dream – and it is – but I see no reason why I shouldn’t do it. I’ve accomplished way more impossible dreams than this one. Just this month one of my good friends, Dan Holloway, became an Amazon Bestseller. I did a reading at the Oxford Fringe Festival last week, with Dan. If he can do it, so can I.

Others Can Too!

So, I’m going to take it as written that I will find a way to do this bit. After all, I’ve been named one of the top 100 ‘Most Powerful Women on Twitter’, I’ve won the Ms Twitter UK title, I’ve made it onto Robert Scoble’s Tech Pundits list with such legends as Guy Kawasaki, Chris Brogan and Copyblogger, and I’ve been a finalist in the Shorty Awards – beating JK Rowling in the literature category. I also sold enough books in my first month to make it into profit, and I’m getting great reviews, so with a bit of assistance from my chums … I think I’ll find a way to make it happen.

I’m putting together a training course for writers and aspiring writers, combining my writerly experience with my entrepreneurial experience, and my ability to get through whatever life presents. I want to give aspiring authors the confidence and resources they need to develop an authorpreneurial mindset, and make it to publication.

I’ve also been asked by increasing numbers of people to start coaching. I used to do a lot of consultancy work and training. I loved helping people to reach for their own dreams, and training groups of people on diploma courses, so I’m going to start doing that again. If I can become an Amazon bestseller, inspire aspiring authors, and give a sense of direction to aspiring Directors, I will be a very happy bunny.

Happy Friday!

Welcome to this installment of…

Share Your DREAM Friday!
It is with great pleasure that I bring to you today’s Special Guest Dreamer The GREAT Dr. Dain Heer – Access Consciousness!

Life is a journey not a destination but a collection of all the moments along the way. It is when we become awakened to the life that we are living and open to who we be and that anything is possible, that we then allow ourselves to fully embrace and enjoy our lives. As I have continued on my journey each day I become more aware and live life more fully in the gift of the moments I have been given. Being UNPLUGGED from the Matrix that most of the people in this world live in and holds on so tightly too. Yes, I’ve been there… Judging myself, blaming others, and feeling sorry for what I had and believing that I wanted what everyone else had instead. You know, the grass is greener syndrome right? I am grateful that someone came along one day and pulled out my plug, shook me up, and told me there is a better way. And that in that moment I decided, maybe he is right… let me check it out! And I have not looked back since. In fact, it is through this place of awareness that the vision for Share Your DREAM Friday and The DREAM Project came to be. Check it out here

The path that lead me to meeting Dr. Dain Heer and having his story and dream to share with you today comes from living in this state of being, awareness, and making choices. Let me share the journey with you…

This journey started back on March 21, 2011 when my good friend and Share Your DREAM Friday Alumnus The GREAT Avram Gonzales from Colorado shared a new episode of InspirACTION entitled – Get Conscious, Get Sexy! – Interview with Rikka Zimmerman! How do you get Sexy and Conscious? I had to check it out… In his video I saw a new energy, passion, and excitement in Avram that I had not seen before in the year that I have know him. Something was different but I was not sure what it was yet.

Just a few weeks laster he posted another episode on April 5, 2011 entitled – Running The Bars With Rikka Zimmerman!. I said to myself, so that’s how he is doing it. Looks like fun. Let me find out who does that here in London Ontario. So I clicked on the link he shared to the main site of Access Consciousness and found that there we two facilitators Juna Gutter and Sabine Hildebrandt from Synergy In Motion, who were just an 8 minute drive from my house according to Google maps. How does it get any better than that? So I did what I usually do in these situations and sat on it and debated in my head… should I call them or not. I searched their website and read all the info I could find about what they were doing and finally after about 2 weeks I gave them a call and booked an appointment for Julie and I to go see meet them and Run The Bars on April 27, 2011. What an amazing experience that was for me and Julie.

As I typically am when I get into something that grabs my attention and jars my awareness, I look at everything that is possible within it. One of the things was that Dr. Dain Heer was visiting London for a Work Shop on May 12, 2011 talking about his new book coming out called “Being You, Changing The World!” I have always believed that being you is the most important thing for us to be to live a fulfilled live and one of our dreams. Julie and I decided to go and when we talked with Juna and Sabine about it they suggested that we do an interview together and have Dr. Dain share his story and dreams. My mind first went to all the excuses of why not before I answered with an energetic YES! And so it came to be.

How does it get any better than this?

Please join me in celebrating Dr. Dain as he shares his dreams with us today.

The GREAT Dr. Dain Heer – Share Your DREAM Friday

Dr. Dain Heer travels all over the world facilitating advanced classes, workshops and seminars on Access Consciousnesss and a healing body and group process called The Energetic Synthesis of Being. His unique and transforming points of view on change, healing, bodies and leadership transcend everything currently being taught. Dr. Heer has written a series of books on the topics of embodiment, healing and sexuality. His latest book, Being You, Changing the World, was published in June 2011.

This is a very different book. It is written for the dreamers of this world—the people who KNOW that something different is possible—but who have never had the tools before. What if I told you that the tools exist? The possibilities you’ve always dreamed of are possible! It is a guide for generating infinite possibilities and dynamic change. For you. And the world. It provides you with a set of PRACTICAL tools and processes which, if you use them, can change everything and give you YOU, as you truly be. It gives you a totally different perspective of BEING.

How does it get any better than that?

Thanks so much Dr. Dain, for sharing your heart, passion, and dream with us today.

for taking the step and asking the question… What else is possible?

Great big hugs my new friends Juna and Sabine at Synergy In Motion!

The GREAT Staci Gauny Co-Founder of TribePro – Share Your DREAM Friday

First and foremost, I’d like to thank Edward The Great for allowing me this opportunity to share what has been my dream for the past year. So thank you, Edward! I really appreciate you asking me to share in such an amazing project of yours and feel truly blessed to be a part of it.

I’ll just start by telling you a little bit about myself. First and foremost I am a stay-at-home mom. I have three beautiful children, ages 9, 5 and 3 1/2. Two boys and a girl. I also have three wonderful step-children with my husband, Ronnie. His daughters 21, and 18, both headed to UTSA in the fall, and his son, 20, currently serving in the Army. We have truly been blessed with amazing children who remain our constant why for everything we do. Ronnie and I met in Austin, Texas, basically where we are both from. We will be celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary this year, which is fitting since it’s been a big year for us. 🙂 Currently we are living in the Dallas Fort Worth area, but we have lived in Austin, LA, Seattle, and Montreal, Canada, along our journey together.

The main thing that I would like to get across in sharing this dream is that you can make dreams happen if you believe in them. It’s not always easy and it can definitely be a struggle at times, but by holding onto your dream and the realization that you can make it happen, nothing can stand in your way. I’ve met many amazing entrepreneurs just in this past year alone that have been truly inspiring.

Last year Ronnie and I formed an idea, a little dream, that we would make a product that could help online entrepreneurs grow their businesses. I really loved the tribe concept of people helping others and the giving spirit that went along with it. We looked at the concept of tribes and tried to create a tool that would really help people save time so that they could spend more of their time doing the things they loved. Our little idea seemed to keep growing bigger and bigger and Tribepro is what we ended up creating. Now I’ve met even more amazing individuals and it’s been such a fun year to launch this product into such a great community of entrepreneurs. We are continuing to grow and transform this dream of ours and continue to be inspired on a daily basis by many of the individuals we have met along the way.

I would tell everyone they should reach for their dreams, as we continue to also. There are so many things we use on a daily basis that were once dreams of other individuals that they brought to life. So no matter how crazy your dreams may sound to some now, keep reaching for them and you will be able to watch them come to life. Here’s a great quote from an amazing woman. She knew what she was talking about!

“Every great dream begins with a dreamer. Always remember, you have within you the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars to change the world.” – Harriet Tubman
